TOULOUSE HUB - AI FOR GOOD
Accélérer l'innovation responsable par l'IA au cœur de l'Occitanie .
AI at the Service
of People &
the Planet
Toulouse Hub – AI for Good is an innovation centre dedicated to ethical, human-centred AI — connecting students, researchers, NGOs and businesses to build technology that truly serves society.
Recognised by
Adam Kouadri officially represented the Toulouse Hub at the World Economic Forum's AI dialogue platform — contributing to global discussions on responsible AI, digital inclusion and the ecological transition.

At the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic science and technology ecosystems, we believe AI must be developed responsibly — or not at all.
Responsibility
We promote transparent, explainable and sustainable AI — systems that can be audited, understood and trusted by the communities they serve. Every project undergoes our ethical review process before deployment.
Innovation
We encourage technological creativity in service of the common good — from student hackathons to deployable civic-tech solutions for real urban challenges facing Toulouse and beyond.
Cooperation
We bring together talents, associations, institutions and citizens to build collective solutions — because the best AI is co-designed with those it affects, not imposed on them.
Why Responsible AI Matters — Now More Than Ever
The global AI market will exceed $1.3 trillion by 2032, growing at 37% annually. Yet 72% of organisations deploying AI report significant unintended consequences — bias, opacity, exclusion.
Toulouse Hub exists to close this gap — locally first, globally in reach. We apply the EU AI Act (2024), the UNESCO AI Ethics Recommendation and the ITU AI for Good framework as practical tools for every project we support.
In 2026, our work was recognised on the global stage: Adam Kouadri represented the Hub at Davos House AI and is an official speaker at the AI for Good Global Summit (ITU Geneva).
Everything we build is guided by one question: does this make AI more accessible, more ethical and more useful for the people who need it most?
Responsible AI Coaching & Support
We guide students, NGOs, companies and project holders through every stage of building ethical, useful and sustainable AI solutions — from first idea to working prototype.
Ethical AI Workshops & Training
Hands-on workshops and training for all levels — from secondary school students discovering AI to professionals deploying it responsibly in their organisations.
Collaborative Projects & Open Innovation
We connect young talent, researchers, associations and businesses around real social and environmental challenges — running hackathons, challenges and co-creation labs.
In January 2026, the Toulouse Hub was officially represented at one of the world's most influential AI dialogue platforms — bringing local responsible AI to the global stage.
Human-centred AI governance — contributing to global frameworks for deploying AI that respects human dignity, cultural diversity and fundamental rights.
Closing the digital divide — advocating for inclusive, solidarity-based solutions ensuring marginalised populations benefit from AI advances.
AI for the ecological transition — showcasing how local AI for Good hubs can accelerate climate action through smart, resource-efficient technology.
Local hubs as global catalysts — demonstrating that Toulouse-scale ecosystems can contribute meaningfully to international AI governance debates.
Our flagship applied AI project — mobilising Hub members to build an intelligent urban waste management system for Toulouse using IoT, predictive analytics and machine learning.
Project Overview
A 12-month initiative leveraging Hub member expertise to deploy AI-powered waste collection optimisation across Toulouse districts — reducing landfill, improving sorting rates and cutting fleet emissions.
Phase 1 — Research & Design (Mar–May 2025)
Problem analysis, stakeholder mapping, architecture design and AI model selection for waste classification and route optimisation.
Phase 2 — Sensor Deployment (Jun–Aug 2025)
IoT sensor network installation in pilot districts. LoRaWAN gateway setup. Initial dataset collection for model training.
Phase 3 — AI Training & Validation (Sep–Nov 2025)
Training LSTM forecasting and Q-Learning routing models. Edge AI on bin cameras. Blockchain citizen incentive integration.
Phase 4 — Full Pilot Launch (Dec 2025–Mar 2026)
City-wide rollout with real-time dashboards, public reporting and citizen engagement platform activation.
Our initiatives span education, health, environment and governance — always with inclusion, ethics and measurable impact as non-negotiable foundations.
Education & Digital Inclusion
Workshops, training and awareness campaigns to strengthen digital literacy and ensure equitable access to AI across local communities, schools and associations — with a focus on underserved populations.
Health & Social Support
Digital support for individuals and organisations navigating health services, in partnership with Toulouse's CHU and Toulouse School of Economics — focused on inclusion, not complex medical tech.
Environment & Climate AI
Applied AI projects targeting urban sustainability — from Smart Waste to future urban green space monitoring, energy optimisation and circular economy facilitation across Occitanie.
AI Governance & Ethics Advocacy
Active participation in global AI governance debates — from Davos House AI to local policy consultations — ensuring ethical AI standards reflect community needs, not just industry interests.
Adam Kouadri is a young advocate for digital solidarity and community empowerment. He founded the Toulouse Hub AI for Good with one conviction: that AI, when developed responsibly and inclusively, can be a force multiplier for social justice, environmental protection and human flourishing.
His journey began through hands-on volunteer work with Noah's Ark Technology Digital Solidarity (2024) and SNESC (2023) — reducing the digital divide at the community level. He was officially recognised by the ITU (UN) as a Young AI Leader and Hub Leader for Toulouse, presented at Davos House AI 2026 alongside the World Economic Forum, and is an official speaker at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva.
Joining the Toulouse Hub – AI for Good allowed me to discover ethical AI and turn solidarity-driven ideas into real projects. A truly unique learning space.
Thanks to the Hub, I was able to collaborate with experts and young talent to develop an AI project with real social impact. The collaborative environment is exceptional.
The workshops and training offered by the Hub are accessible and genuinely enriching. I learned how to use AI responsibly and concretely — skills I use every day.
